How to remove poop stains from underwear is not something you ask someone. This is the kind of stuff you search on the internet and will never say to anyone, right? Because it’s not the most pleasant conversation to have with someone.

A lot of people will think poop stains and skid marks only happen to kids, but you couldn’t be more wrong. Many adults have the same experience or at least had one time happening,

If you wear white undies, you might have experienced this a few times, since you can see any stains there. But don’t you worry, you are in the right place to learn how to remove poop stains from your underwear.

Why Are There Poop Stains In My Underwear?

First of all, let me reassure you that this happens to millions of people, but no one openly talks about it, because it’s not the best subject between friends or coworkers.

Having poop or stains in your underwear is normal. It depends on many factors and from person to person. Here are some likely causes of poop stains on your underwear:

Your Nutrition

Your nutrition has a huge impact on everything that happens in your body. Some foods can help you poop more than others, such as apples, kiwis, avocados, beans, etc.

Caffeine and alcohol can also have a laxative effect on most people (the results vary from person to person) so take care not to abuse them.

You Are Using Toilet Paper

Nowadays, you have so many possibilities for cleaning your butt and preventing any feces on your undies. Doctors are not big fans of toilet paper since they are not very effective in removing wastes.

Toilet paper does the job, but if you wipe strongly, then you could create anal fissures or irritate hemorrhoids in the rectum.

A great alternative to toilet paper is the use of baby wipes or wipes created for men (I prefer this last one since they are created for us men).

Bidets are popular in my country (Portugal) but not so much popular in the US or England. They are a great choice to keep your anus clean and your undies free from remnants.

Your Wiping Technique Is Not Good

I believe the biggest reason why adults have feces on their underwear is that they don’t wipe their buts properly.

It’s not that the world has the perfect technic for you to wipe your butt. Yet here is how to wipe your butt:

  • Step 1 – Stay seated when wiping your butt.
  • Step 2 – Grab three balled-up squares of toilet paper.
  • Step 3 – Reach around and behind your butt and lean onto the opposing cheek.
  • Step 4 – Wipe from the front to the back with your middle finger slightly raised. Use moderate pressure. Repeat this step as many times as you need and check the progress.
  • Step 5 – When you see very little to no remnants on the paper, that means you are ready.
  • Step 6 – Use a wet wipe until absolutely no remnants remain on paper. This helps to reduce any odor, staining, or itching that may happen later.

These steps should help you to reduce any feces on your undies. Don’t forget to wash your hands at the end (you would be surprised with the number of people who don’t do it.)

Sitting In The Toilet For A Long Time

Many people take their mobile gadgets, a magazine, or a book when they need to take a dump.

All this will increase the time you will spend on the toilet, causing your poop to dry on your ass.

Later, when you sweat or move doing your daily tasks, small particles of poop might move to your undies.

A Hairy Butt Hole

Another reason to have brown stains in your underwear could be a hairy butt. The hair can trap the stool as it exists in your rectum. That’s not the problem. The challenge is when you start doing your daily activities and start sweating. The sweat will move small particles of poop to your underwear.

Your Poop Is Soft and Sticky

Your nutrition could have a massive effect on your poop. If you want to get rid of the soft poop, you will need to ingest more insoluble and soluble fiber into your diet.

Solid feces normally exit our anus with little or no residue for us to wipe (you might ever notice pooping, wipe it out, and the toilet paper is practically cleaned).

Fibers improve the quality of your stool by increasing bacteria in the colon region. This will add bulk to your bowel. Food such as fruits, vegetables, oats contain a lot of fiber and should do the job to take care of your soft poop.

Hemorrhoids

Internal and external hemorrhoids can cause poop marks on your underwear (they are also very painful). Feces can get stuck in the sphincter muscle, so wiping will not help at all.

The best choice is to gently wash with soap and warm water. I would also recommend you go to a doctor to help with the treatment.

Sweating

Sweating doesn’t help if you do it excessively. Sweat runs down your back till your butt cheeks, resulting in skid marks.

You can prevent this situation using a sweat-absorbing fabric. Choosing the best material for your underwear is fundamental to avoiding problems like poop stains.

Bowel or Fecal Incontinence

Often people are unaware of problems like bowel leakage or fecal incontinence. They don’t realize they have stool in their rectum until they check the stains in their undies. This can happen due to a desensitized and overstretched rectum.

Don’t get worried. You can consult a physician, but only if the problem persists. If you find feces on your underwear almost every day, knowing you have good hygiene, then I would book an appointment.

How To Remove Poop Stains From Underwear?

Let me give you some general tips on how to remove poop stains from your underwear. You can do it all from home with products you will have for sure. You should also learn about underwear fabric.

Cold Wash Water

Warm water can bind the stain to the fabric, making it more difficult to remove the poop stain from the underwear.

Wash-Your-Undies

Soak the underwear piece in cold water for around ten minutes (I would make fifteen minutes for white undies). This process will help to reduce the potency of the stain without you doing anything else.

Vinegar

Vinegar is one of the best products to remove any stains because of its acidity.

Rinse your undies in cold water and level them on a towel. Add vinegar to the stain and brush gently from the edge to the middle. Then wash it normally.

Squeezing Lemon

Lemon is basically “the natural bleach” because it removes stains and disinfects at the same time. It’s probably my favorite method to remove any skids from my underwear.

Squeeze a lemon into the stained area and leave it for thirty minutes. Put it in the washing machine and do a regular wash. Do not use this on darker underwear because it might change the color.

Vodka

Spray or add sprinkle vodka in the stained area and leave it for ten minutes. Don’t wash the underwear straight away (it will weaken its potency). Leave the vodka to evaporate and wash it the next day. Do not use flavored vodka.

Soda

Soda is great when you want to remove fresh poop stains since it sucks up moisture and laundry odors as it sits in contact with them.

Use cold water to wash any excess poop. Next, sprinkle baking soda in your undies (when it is still wet). You can brush the poop area gently to remove the stain easily.

After a few minutes, check if the stain is almost gone from the fabric. I would machine wash just to ensure the poop stain is 100% gone.

Bleach

I would say bleach is the white underwear’s best friend when it comes to removing any stains. It’s potent chemistry.

Rinse your undies in cold water for ten/fifteen minutes, allowing them to soak it up. Add laundry detergent and the recommended amount of bleach. Immerse the underwear in the washer and complete a full cycle to remove anything left.

Soaking

Soaking it’s a smart and natural way to make the stains come to lose and be removed more easily before you wash them in the machine.

Fill a container with cold water and half a cup of detergent, mixing them. Scrub the site of the stain on the undies. Leave it for thirty minutes and wash it as usual.

Why Does Poop Still Come Out After I Wipe?

It can be due to different conditions. Keep in mind that sometimes you will have to wipe more than you usually do. Maybe you didn’t eat a lot of fibers that day, and your poop is soft. Some other conditions could be you have constipation, diarrhea, hemorrhoids, bowel leakage, excessive sweat, etc.

If you think wiping a lot is the rule and not the exception in your case, consult a physician.

Why Do Guys Have Poop Stains?

The biggest reason guys have poop stains in their underwear is that they are lazy and have bad hygiene.

As you can see in the image below, some partners are not happy with your behavior of having poop stains on your underwear. I would feel pretty ashamed if my partner would go online to complain about my lack of hygiene.

Ensure you spread your butt cheeks and clean and wash your butt hole. The excuse of “Real man doesn’t go between his cheeks or spread them for anything” is pure crap. Make sure you do whatever is necessary to clean there and make your partner happy.

What To Do If “No Matter How Much I Wipe I Can’t Get Clean”?

Imagine you have a poo, but it doesn’t matter how many times you wipe your ass… you can’t see a clean tissue.

Many factors can contribute to feeling that your undies are never clean and always have a poop mark. Anxiety, constipation, diarrhea, excessive sweating all can contribute to having dirty underwear.

Don’t stress out if you are experiencing one of the above. If you don’t think it could be any of the above, I would consider speaking with a physician.

You could also consider doing the options I mention below.

Shave Your Butt Hole

We have seen how a hairy butt hole could make your undies dirty. Why not consider shaving it?

Shaving your butt hole will definitely help with your anal hygiene, itchy, and it might even boost your confidence if you feel adventurous in the bedroom.

Consider Wet Wipes

If toilet paper can’t do the job and you keep finding poop remnants on your boxers, why not consider wet wipes?

Will I Am said to Elle Magazine “Here’s proof on why people should have baby wipes. Get some chocolate, wipe it on a wooden floor, and then try to get it up with some dry towels. You’re going to get chocolate in the cracks. That’s why you gotta get them baby wipes.”

Wipes are an excellent choice for you to keep your but clean and smelling good.

Wash With Water

This is the easiest one if you have a bidet. You poop, wash it and go. If you don’t have one, you can quickly have a shower just to wash your butt and no other zone.

Rectal Douching

Rectal douching is a deep clean than just washing with water.

A rectal douching is very common in the gay community, especially if the man is bottom.

If you are a woman or a straight man, you can also use this from time to time to keep your rectum clean. It takes a little bit more time, so it might not be the best option.

The Bottom Line

Having poop or skid marks on your underwear will be a problem you will have to face sometimes during your adult life. It happens to everyone and you should not feel alarmed if it’s something that only happens from time to time. Every man and woman deals with this issue.

If you choose to deal with the situation or not, it’s your choice, but I would advise you to deal with it. Knowing how to remove poop stains from underwear can benefit you in many different ways, as you read in this article.
