To confirm, I have decided to review hundreds of product descriptions on the Reiss website to verify if the brand lists where the products are manufactured. I also visited two different Reiss stores and multi-brand stores that sell Reiss products, checking multiple items. So let’s find out where Reiss products are made.

Reiss doesn’t list where its products are manufactured on the product descriptions on its website. Was I surprised? I wasn’t, and let me tell you why I expected Reiss not to have the country of origin in the product description.

When I checked Reiss products in-store, I only found items made in China, Turkey, and India. According to Reiss’s website (Modern Slavery Transparency), 84% of its products are manufactured in these three countries. Most consumers will not check where a product is manufactured if the information is not on the product description.
However, on the FAQs, when answering the question “where are your garments made?” Reiss says, “We work with a number of carefully selected suppliers from around the world in countries such as Turkey, Spain, Italy, and the Far East to produce products of the highest quality.”
Why would a brand that barely manufactures in Italy and Spain state both of these countries but not China and India, the two countries where Reiss manufactures the most (including Turkey, which is mentioned)? This is because Reiss wants to be perceived as a brand that manufactures in those countries when in reality, it doesn’t. So it’s not a surprise that the British label doesn’t state the country of origin in the product description on its website.
If you purchase online, you can check the country of origin when you receive the goods. This is because the EU and US legislations require the brands to tell the country of origin for any imported products when it comes to physical goods.
Is Reiss Clothing Made In England?
No, Reiss is not manufactured in England. This is because the labor, materials, and warehouses are much more expensive here, and the British label would have a lower profit if manufactured in England.
I was expecting Reiss to produce a few products in England since most English brands do it, like Burberry, Jack Wills, Doc Martens, Clarks, and Ted Baker do it. Of course, the manufacturing in England for those brands it’s on a small scale, but still.
Is Reiss Clothing Made In China?
Yes, most Reiss clothing and products are manufactured in China.
So, most Reiss clothing is made in China, and most products I have checked in-store had the made in China tag. This can’t be a surprise for anyone since some of the biggest premium fashion brands in the world are also manufactured in China. Hugo Boss, Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, Gant, and Michael Kors are examples of that.
Reiss clothes are manufactured in China because of the cheap labor, materials, and facilities costs. However, this doesn’t mean the products have less quality since premium fashion brands have strict quality guidelines for the warehouses in China to follow.

Yes, many Reiss clothing items are manufactured in Turkey.
Most consumers tend to think that when they find a product manufactured in Turkey, it’s a fake one. I can understand why because when I visited Turkey, many stores there (non-official stores) sold fake products from famous brands.

However, if you check Reiss’s official stores, you will see many clothes with a made in Turkey tag. After all, Turkey is the second biggest manufacturer of the British label, and some other English brands like Ted Baker and Superdry are also manufactured there.
