Dolce and Gabbana are one of the world’s leading Italian designers and one of the most prestigious luxury brands in the world. They’re known for their unique designs, but does anyone know where is Dolce and Gabbana made?
The company was founded in 1985 by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, two designers from Milan, Italy. There’s no doubt that this brand has been a favorite of the rich and famous for decades with its signature style. They create luxurious clothes, shoes, accessories, and fragrances. But not many people know where exactly it comes from.
Most people assume that these high-end designers only make products domestically in Italy like many other luxury brands.
I have checked hundreds of product descriptions on Dolce and Gabbana’s website to verify if the brand lists where the products are made and researched a lot online to bring these conclusions to you in this article. I also visited their store and checked multiple items. So let’s find out where Dolce and Gabbana is manufactured.
Where Is Dolce And Gabbana Made?
Dolce and Gabbana clothing are practically all manufactured in Italy. The brand also manufactures in Switzerland, France, and the United Kingdom.
All products I have checked in Dolce and Gabbana store had the label “Made In Italy.” Most of the products had “Made In Italy,” but some of them didn’t have any information on the Italian luxury brand website.
Dolce and Gabbana’s perfumes are mostly “Made in France,” but I found one made in the United Kingdom. All watches are made in Switzerland.

I didn’t check every single item on Dolce and Gabbana’s website. However, I did check most of the products in their store, so I would say I am happy with my research, and I don’t think the brand manufactures somewhere else.
Is Dolce And Gabbana Made In Italy?
Yes, Dolce and Gabbana made almost all its products in Italy, especially when it comes to clothing and accessories (apart from watches).
It’s very frequent to see a luxury brand manufacturing almost every single product in Italy regarding clothing and accessories, especially if the brand is Italian like Dolce and Gabbana or Gucci. Prada is a bit different from those two brands.
Luxury brands like to have their products manufactured in Italy because the “Made In Italy” label brings prestige and refinement to the brand, making people think that the best craftsmanship makes them. It’s all associated with the use of the best materials. This is why you see these brands charging much more than others.

Is Dolce And Gabbana Made In France?
Yes, most of Dolce and Gabbana’s perfumes are “Made In France.” I did find one perfume “Made In United Kingdom”.

France has a rich tradition of making some of the best perfumes in Grasse (the world’s perfume capital). Many cosmetics are also manufactured in this city, but I couldn’t find any information (as usual when it comes to them) on Dolce and Gabbana’s website. It’s rare for a brand to indicate where cosmetics are made on their website.
Is Dolce And Gabbana Made In China?
No products of Dolce and Gabbana’s are “Made In China.” At least I couldn’t find any on the brand’s website and in-store.
High premium brands tend to have some products Made In China like it’s the case of Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, or Ralph Lauren, but when it comes to luxury brands, they try to manufacture in Italy and charge more for their products. But, of course, that’s not always the case, as we know Balenciaga splits its production between Italy and China.

I am not surprised that Dolce and Gabbana doesn’t manufacture in China since it’s an Italian brand. However, some people still perceive “Made In China” as low quality, and they are not willing to pay hundreds of dollars for those items.
If you want my opinion on this subject, I don’t think products “Made In China” are poor quality for high premium and luxury fashion brands, since they have a strict quality control implemented in these factories, to ensure everything is made perfectly.
