The North Face clothing, footwear and accessories are manufactured in Vietnam, China, Bangladesh, the USA, Turkey, Cambodia, El Salvador, Jordan, Indonesia, Romania, and India.
So The North Face doesn’t list where its products are manufactured on the product descriptions on its website. This is not a surprise since most American brands try to pass an image of their products being made in America and not in Asian countries (which it’s the case of The North Face).

I believe The North Face wants to be perceived as a brand that manufactures in the USA because it states the country of origin for a product when manufactured in the USA but doesn’t state the country of origin for products manufactured in any other country. The same happens with brands like Carhartt, Ralph Lauren, and Michael Kors.
To me, a brand should be transparent. Or North Face lists the country of origin for all its products or doesn’t say any. If you want to know where a North Face product was manufactured, you need to check the label of the physical product. All products need to have that information on the label since the US and EU legislation requires brands to indicate the country of origin of any goods.
In-store I have found a lot of North Face products made in Vietnam and Bangladesh. I expected the American brand to be heavily manufactured in China, but that didn’t match what I saw in-store. For example, my North Face jacket was manufactured in Vietnam.

Yes, some products from The Nort Face are manufactured in the USA, and some materials are outsourced domestically.
So, The North Face doesn’t manufacture that much in America. I have found five products labeled “Made In American” on the brand website and none in all the stores I have visited.
The North Face has (or had, it’s not evident if it’s still active or not) the Backyard Project, which means some products are 100% manufactured in the USA. This project included manufacturing t-shirts and full zip and pullover hoodies, all sourced and manufactured within the USA. This was the way of The North Face to connect with small artisans and manufacture a tiny percentage of its products in America (I wouldn’t be surprised if that percentage were smaller than 1%).

Is The North Face Made In China?
Yes, The Nort Face manufactures apparel, footwear, and accessories in China.
Usually, fashion brands love to manufacture in China (cheap labor and materials), and The North face still manufactures a lot of its products there, but not as much as in Vietnam. I even found more products made in Bangladesh than in China, which is not usual (at least with my experience among many different fashion brands).

We are finding fewer North Face products manufactured in China because of the tariff war between the US and China. This caused many fashion brands to transfer manufacturing from China to other countries, as they did not want to have low inventories with such political uncertainty.
Still, most The North Face accessories are manufactured in China, and that I don’t think is changing any time soon. However, I have to say it was surprising to find a few socks manufactured in Vietnam and not China.
