Where is Jimmy Choo made? Jimmy Choo is a British high fashion brand that was founded in 1996 by the designer Jimmy Choo, but that doesn’t mean the shoes are manufactured in the UK. Later the brand was acquired by Capri Holdings (formerly known as Michael Kors Holdings Limited), which also owns Michael Kors and Versace.
Jimmy Choo specializes in luxury shoes (most people know this brand because of its footwear) but also in handbags, accessories, and fragrances. The high fashion shoe brand is well known among women and is one of their favorite shoe brands.
To confirm, I have decided to review hundreds of product descriptions on the Jimmy Choo website to verify if the brand lists where the products are made. I also visited the Jimmy Choo store in White City, London, and their department sections in multi-brand stores, checking multiple items. So let’s find out where Jimmy Choo products are made.
Where Is Jimmy Choo Made?
Jimmy Choo is manufactured in Italy, Spain, China, and Vietnam.
Jimmy Choo states on its website where its products are manufactured, especially if they are made in Italy and Spain. However, some shoe styles don’t have the country of origin, which can only mean one thing. The brand doesn’t want you to know where some shoes are manufactured.
I always advocate this: either a brand states where all the products are made or not. Other brands like Carhartt, Fila, Michael Kors, Timberland, or Versace do the same, only indicating the most convenient countries and “forgetting” those they don’t want you to know.
Most Jimmy Choo products I have checked on the website and in-store are manufactured in Italy. This is why the British high fashion brand doesn’t state that some shoes are also manufactured in China and Vietnam because they want to be perceived as only manufacturing in Italy and some bits in Spain.
Doc Martens, another British shoe brand, also states on its website all the shoes that are made in England because it wants to be perceived as a British manufacturing label but forget all the other countries. Jimmy Choo does exactly the same thing but manufactures a lot more in Italy than Doc Martens in England.

In my opinion, all brands should be transparent or at least consistent with the information they provide on their website. If you want to know where your Jimmy Choo item is manufactured, you need to check the label of the physical product. The US and EU legislation requires brands to indicate the country of origin of any good (for some reason, Louis Vuitton and Lacoste fail to do this in most of their products).
Is Jimmy Choo Made In Italy?
Yes, most Jimmy Choo products are manufactured in Italy.
When I checked Jimmy Choo’s products in-store, and on its website, most of them were manufactured in Italy. This doesn’t surprise me since most consumers associate the made in Italy tag with the finest materials and best craftsmanship, so they don’t mind spending more on those products.

Usually, fashion labels that manufacture in Italy can sell their products for hundreds if not thousands of dollars since they know people value them. Jimmy Choo knows this, and that’s why they charge so much for its shoes. Usually, goods that are manufactured in Italy are immaculate because every detail matters.
Jimmy Choo doesn’t provide any list of factories on its website. Still, according to the Capri Holding Limited website, the company acquired a warehouse in Pistoia, Tuscany, to produce shoes for Jimmy Choo, Versace, and Michael Kors.
All the leather goods, hats, scarves, belts, sunglasses, and handbags are manufactured in Italy, showing that most Jimmy Choo products are produced there.
Is Jimmy Choo Made In China?
Yes, some Jimmy Choo shoes are manufactured in China.
It can be a surprise for some to see Jimmy Choo manufacturing in China, but for others, it’s expected since many high fashion brands do. However, after knowing how heavily Michael Kors manufactures in China, the only surprise was not finding a lot more Jimmy Choo manufactured there.
Most consumers think that products made in China are not as good as those manufactured in Europe since warehouses in China use cheap labor and materials. The only thing I can guarantee is that expensive labels have rigorous quality controls to ensure the brand’s reputation is intact.
Is Jimmy Choo Made In Vietnam?
Yes, Jimmy Choo manufactures some of its shoes in Vietnam.
Many shoe brands have been shifting their manufacturing from China to Vietnam. Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Vans, and New Balance, among others, are some examples of that. However, these brands are all sports labels that charge a lot less money than Jimmy Choo, so you do the maths on how much profit this company is making.
Vietnam factories have successfully assembled an adaptable production system for fashion brands that want to produce apparel, footwear, or accessories.
A study led by Natixis SA selected the seven emerging Asian economies as manufacturing prospects over China, and Vietnam was ranked number one. The low wages, demographics, logistics, and business rankings were some of the components evaluated in the investigation.

If you pay attention to how Jimmy Choo presents the country of origin of its shoes, the ones manufactured in Italy are written in the shoe material, but the ones made in China and Vietnam have a sticker that you can remove. I don’t need to guess why they have different labels since it’s obvious.
