Loewe is a Spanish luxury brand and one of the oldest fashion brands operating today. It was founded in 1846 in Madrid by a group of Spanish leather craftsmen, but does it mean Loewe is manufactured in Spain? Where is Loewe made?
Loewe is not just any luxury fashion brand. It belongs to one of the most influential and powerful groups in the fashion industry, the LVMH Group, which owns labels like Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Dior, Loro Piana, Givenchy, and Fendy, among other luxury labels.
To confirm, I have decided to review hundreds of product descriptions on the Loewe website to verify if the brand lists where the products are made. I also visited the Loewe store in New Bond Street in London and their department stores in Selfridges and Harrods, checking multiple items. So let’s find out where Loewe products are made.
Where Is Loewe Made?
Loewe apparel, footwear, and accessories are manufactured in Spain, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Lithuania, the UK, Switzerland, Vietnam, and China.
All the products I checked on the Loewe website have the country of origin stated, which is not a surprise. After all, almost every item I have reviewed states “made in Spain or Italy,” and which brand doesn’t want to tell its shoppers? Other fashion luxury labels like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Givenchy, Saint Laurent, Dior, Valentino, DSQUARED2, and Bottega Veneta always provide this information in the product description.

Most of Loewe’s products are manufactured in Spain, followed by Italy as the second biggest manufacturer of the Spanish luxury brand. Portugal and Romania are the two following more significant manufacturers but on a tiny scale compared to Spain and Italy. It’s not surprising that Loewe manufactures the most in Spain since it’s a Spanish brand.
Now, I have stated above that Loewe manufactures in China and Vietnam, which is true, but on the website, I have only found one phone case made in China and three pairs of shoes manufactured in Vietnam. Of course, this is nothing compared to how much Loewe fabricates in other countries, but I still want to be honest with my readers.

In fact, in-store, I didn’t find any products made in China or Vietnam. For most products I have checked in-store, the label was made in Spain or Italy, the two biggest manufacturers for Loewe. I also found many t-shirts made in Portugal and a few items made in Romania and Lithuania.
Even if Loewe didn’t have the product’s country of origin on its website’s product description, you could check where the item was manufactured by inspecting its physical label. This is because the EU and US legislation require brands to indicate the country of origin of any goods.
Is Loewe Made In Spain?
Yes, Loewe manufactures many of its apparel, accessories, and footwear in Spain.
Loewe manufactures most of its items in Getafe and Barcelona in, Spain. I love when a fashion brand manufactures in its country of origin, especially if it does it outside Italy and France.

All Loewe belts, wallets, and fragrances are manufactured in Spain. In addition, a lot of apparel and accessories are also made in Spain. But, surprisingly, I didn’t find any Loewe footwear manufactured in Spain. Usually, when checking luxury labels, I always find some footwear with a made-in-Spain tag.
Is Loewe Made In Italy?
Yes, Loewe manufactures apparel, accessories, and footwear in Italy.
I am surprised that Loewe doesn’t manufacture much more in Italy since this is usually where most luxury brands prefer to manufacture most of their products. Most Loewe shoes and jackets are manufactured in Italy, and you also have some men’s and womenswear, jewelry, scarves, hats, and bags made there.
Most luxury labels like to fabricate in Italy because the best materials are utilized, and experienced artisans are very scornful of their work. As a result, workers tend to be positively devoted to each item’s manufacturing steps. This is why products made in Italy are usually perfect because every detail matters.
For many customers, the mere fact that a product says “Made In Italy” is enough to explain any cost. That’s why luxury labels like Dolce and Gabbana, Versace, and Moschino prefer to manufacture most of their products in Italy.
Is Loewe Made In Portugal?
Yes, some Loewe products are manufactured in Portugal.
Most Loewe t-shirts I have checked in-store and online were manufactured in Portugal, which is not a surprise since Portugal is usually one of the countries where some luxury labels like to manufacture some of their products. Luxury brands like Balmain, Stone Island, Balenciaga, Kenzo, Moncler, and Palm Angels also manufacture considerably in Portugal.
Portugal’s craftsmanship and fabrics are beautiful, and the country can copy any production system easily. Many luxury brands keep investing and expanding their production in Portugal because they know the excellent results.
I couldn’t find where Loewe is manufactured in Portugal, but I don’t think Loewe has a factory there. Instead, the Spanish luxury label pays independent contractors to manufacture the necessary apparel and accessories.
Common Questions About Where Is Loewe Made
These are the most common questions about where is Loewe made.
Is Loewe Made In China?
Yes, Loewe manufactures some phone cases in China, and I think the Spanish brand possibly manufactures some other cheaper accessories there, but I have only found one during my research. Also, I didn’t find any Loewe products made in China when checking labels in-store.
Where Are Loewe Bags Made?
Most Loewe bags are manufactured in Spain, and a small amount of the bags are made in Italy and Portugal. In-store I checked a few bags, and they were all made in Spain, which was a surprise since I was expecting to find many more Loewe bags manufactured in Italy.
Where is Loewe made? Most of the products are manufactured in Spain, followed by Italy. You can also find some products made in Portugal, Romania, Lithuania, the UK, Vietnam, and China.
Independently on where Loewe manufactures its products, you should know that the Spanish luxury label has high standards regarding quality and design that warehouses need to follow. After all, we are speaking about a brand that belongs to the LVMH Group, one of the most powerful in fashion.
