Did you ever check Justin Trudeau socks? They are fantastic, right? Canada’s 23rd prime minister is known for driving positivity where he passes and dressing very smart with tailored suits. But what the world loves the most is the socks he wears when meeting some of the most influential people in the world.
Socks are Trudeau’s most noticeable accessory because they are funny, funky, and different from what you expect. Some people love his socks, and others hate.
I am a big fan of funky socks. I love to ditch the standard black, white, or navy socks. Why would you stick with the most boring socks if you can give them life?
Why Does Justin Trudeau Wear Funny Socks?
Justin Trudeau makes big statements with his socks without you realizing it. He expresses his point of view through his socks. Trudeau also wears them for fun, but his sock game is one of the strongest I have ever seen.
One of the most significant statements occurred when he marched in Toronto’s Gay Pride Parade wearing a rainbow-striped pair of socks with “Eid Mubarak” written. Did he wear those socks unintentionally? Definitely not, since he was in a gay event, and the parade happened to line up with the end of Ramadan. Trudeau showed support to the LGBTQ and Muslim communities with a pair of socks.
Justin Trudeau is here to inspire you with his socks, and you might try to express yourself at home or in the office. The most important is to wear socks for fun and send a message with your perspective.
Best Justin Trudeau Sock Moments
Now let me show you some of Trudeau’s most famous socks.
Justin Trudeau Socks: Maple Leaf Socks (First Ministers Meeting, Ottawa 2015)
Being Canadean, Justin Trudeau decided to homage Canada with some red maple leaf socks (the Canada flag has a red leaf). This is a great way to represent his country wherever he goes.
He wore these socks during the first ministers meeting in Ottawa in 2015 after being elected and later repeated them a couple of times.
Justin Trudeau Socks: Skull-and-Crossbones Socks (World Economic Forum, Switzerland 2016)
These burgundy socks with green skills and bones are not my favorite, but they are definitely out of anyone’s comfort zone, especially if you wear them in a meeting full of influential people. If they don’t remember his speech they will remember his socks.
Justin Trudeau Socks: Black Dots (World Economic Forum, Switzerland 2016)
Why not meet all the world leaders wearing turquoise socks with black dots? It’s like every dot represents someone he will have to speak. I am joking! I don’t think this pair of socks have any particular message.
Justin Trudeau Socks: Montreal Canadian Socks (Toronto 2016)
Justin Trudeau supports Montreal Canadians and showed his support during a meeting with Toronto Mayor John Tory in 2016 when he got offered a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey. Trudeau made everyone know who he supports, showing his socks.
The Canadiens and Maple Leafs are the league’s oldest teams in Canadean ice hockey, and they are big rivals. I support Porto in football, and if someone gave me a Benfica jersey, I would show my Porto socks.
Justin Trudeau Socks: Rainbow-Eid Mubarak Socks (Toronto’s Gay Pride, 2017)
I love the socks, the image, and the message because it represents so much in one photo. Trudeau wore a rainbow-striped pair of socks that say, Eid Mubarak. He showed his support for two significant communities.
Eid Mubarak is a traditional Muslim greeting that is used during the festivals of Eid. The rainbow represents the LGBTQ.
Justin Trudeau Socks: Star Wars Socks (Montreal 2017)
People went crazy on social media, and the photo was retweeted thousands of times. It also happened on international Star Wars day (I told you Justin Trudeau socks strategy was on a different level).
Justin Trudeau Socks: Chewbacca Socks (Bloomberg Global Business Forum, New York 2017)
I told you Trudeau is a big Star Wars fan because he wore them again, but this time with the popular Chewbacca in his socks at the inaugural Bloomberg Global Business Forum in New York in 2017. This was another hit across Star Wars fans.
Justin Trudeau Socks: Moose Socks (Montreal 2017)
Moose embodies grace and represents energy, adaptation, movement, independence, and strength. A great way to show his respect for the interim Irish Taoiseach Leo Varadkar when they met in Montreal in 2017.
Justin Trudeau Socks: Pink-Navy Socks (NATO Summit 2017)
You need to go to a NATO meeting. What do you wear? NATO-themed socks, of course. You can see they are a successful choice since everyone seems to be appreciated, especially by Angela Merkel.
Justin Trudeau Socks: Duck Socks (World Economic Forum, Switzerland 2018)
You have to be a confident man to appear in a World Economic Forum with a pair of purple socks with ducks. The internet went crazy with this choice, and I don’t know about you, but I am seriously thinking of buying a pair.
Justin Trudeau Socks: Planet Socks (Chicago 2018)
Visiting the University of Chicago on his first official visit to the city, Trudeau wore planet socks. I couldn’t find any reason for this choice, but since I am a big fan of Astronomy, I loved the planet socks.
Justin Trudeau Socks: Patterned Socks (G7 Summit, France 2019)
Many men are still very uncomfortable wearing pink, so having Justin Trudeau showing them it’s more than ok to do it is excellent. It is even better to show this confidence in such a big impact event where millions of people will see what he is wearing and hopefully copy it.
Where Does Justin Trudeau Get His Socks?
I am not sure if some socks are specially made for Justin Trudeau or not. I am more inclined he or his team just buy them. In this article I have provided the link for some socks I found on Amazon.
Justin Trudeau likes to put his best foot in the best pair of socks, and if he can make a statement with it, even better. Nothing wrong with injecting your personality and express what you believe is right on your socks.
I believe socks can be much more than a fashion accessory, and Trudeau agrees with me.
Which Justin Trudeau socks are your favorite? Mine is the rainbow-striped pair with the Eid Mubarak. What about you? Please share with me in the comments.
